| After hanging around at the old marina waiting for everyone to show, then meandering past the dam, we came to the first obstacle. It was straight up into the sun! In this pic a way built FJ40 makes short work of it. | ![]() |
| Next up is a K5 Blazer... | ![]() |
| ...that hunts for the line a bit before making it over. | ![]() |
| The view from the driver's seat. No wonder people were having trouble picking a line! I don't know why, maybe because we watched "The Fog" when we got home Sunday, but reminds me of some budget zombie flick like "Day of the Living Dead Spotters". | ![]() |
| A little tiny Mark in a little tiny, but tight, 'Mog peers into the sun in a vain attempt to pick a good line. I say "vain attempt" for 2 reasons: 1) You couldn't see squat no matter how you shielded your eyes and 2) the 'Mog don't need no good lines! Just point it and go! | ![]() |
| Next, after crawling over a few interesting smaller obstacles, we hit Axle Breaker. | ![]() |
| The K5 hammers the hard route... | ![]() |
| ...before taking a slightly easier line to the right. I say slightly easier because Frank didn't make either one of them! | ![]() |
| This is Mark going straight up and over the hard line so quickly that I can't even get a good picture. | ![]() |
| Next John hits the hard line... | ![]() |
| ...but after several attempts... | ![]() |
| ...and coming as close to rolling as a truck can and not go on over, he backs off. I was too busy jumping on his wheel to get a pic but I imagine some will surface soon... | ![]() |
| Next it was an obstacle with a much harder line and a relatively easier line. John watches the K5 on the easier line... | ![]() |
| ...and Marks first attempt on the harder line. | ![]() |
| After backing off and making the easier side, Mark swung back around for a successful trip up the hard side. | ![]() |
