I had a pretty unstructured day but had a good time. I started off wheeling with Ray and his dad. Late morning some early Broncos showed up and we decided to go on up river despite the higher than normal water (it was over the low water crossing). Mark showed up about that time. When we hit the big crossing up by the fish camp there were a dozen or so prospectors panning for gold right where we come out of the river. They were loaded for bear with small floating battery powered dredges, sluice boxes, pans, and shovels. We came out of the river upstream a bit to keep from running over anybody/anything.
Marks Mog fouled the plugs right after the crossing so he hopped a ride with Ray. The next crossing had a solid bottom but a short deep section toward the far side. Ray and his dad decided against it and went back to get the Mog. Since I was already across I went on up-river with the Bronco crew and hit the double tub, which was too muddy for anyone to make.
Frank and two of the Broncos got close, though!
There was too much mud to get the grip needed to make the tub to the left as well...
We played on the wall briefly, then made for the stairs. The last flood had put a pretty deep hole in the sand up against the rock on the usual line onto the obstacle so a little to the left worked better.
Once up on the rocks, though, there was traction, and flex, to spare!

The open vehicles were flexy enough to pretty much walk the obstacle...

...as long as their spotters were on top of things, anyway! I got a little slack jawed there for a second and failed to mention the necessity of hugging the curb on driver's left... My bad!
This EB flexed it's way through with no problems.
I think it was the "special paint" on the rocker panels as much as anything...
OK, maybe the flex helped, too.
This is about the time the German short hair (who could teach the pseudo basenji a thing or two about how to act in public) made the wise decision to go into spectator mode.

 Don't ask me... It's a Jeep thing. I don't understand.
 This might explain something...
