Being a bit of an animist, I always think it's auspicious when some aspect of nature makes it's self known. When this dragon fly stopped to pose while I was getting back far enough for a group shot, I knew it was going to be a fun day!
I dropped the "60" section of a 60/40 bench seat off with Ched, said Hi to Shannon and a few other friends, and met a few new friends before the riverbed beckoned! Sorry for not remembering more names!
With no real trail leaders but a general sense of where they were going (up river!), the group dispersed into the river bed to start wheeling.
TTORA's fearless leader crosses a river channel.
OCATT's Taco tests the water with it's toe before making a crossing.
Greg and Jen take their FJ40 through the granite.
Another FJ40 leads Tom Simpson in his mini truck through the same section while OCATT from a few pics back heads their direction.
Jeff Jones' FJ80 with a Chevy 350 and, even more impressive on a 95 degree day, an ARB 'fridge, flexes through that section.
This ain't your usual soccer mom mall crawler. (Not that there's anything wrong with soccer, moms, or malls...)
Another well equipped FJ80 finishes that section...
 ...followed by Shannon...
 ...who's coming off the end.
Next through is David M. ...
 ...who flexes his way...
...across the undulating pink granite. (Note to self: can you use the words "undulating" and "pink" in the same sentence on a family web site?)
Next we moved on to the table top. Tom and his spotter Justin were a hoot...
...and could be counted on to pick an entertaining line on any obstacle.
John lines up on the table top...
 ...and pulls some big air...
...then holds it for the photo op.
 First Tom's red mini...

 ...and then JJJ's white 80...
 ...make their way...

 ...onto the table top.
